Up Coming Event... Songkran Cup Sunday, April 19 Bear Creek (West) GC
The Thai Golf Association of Texas (TGATX) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the Thai community across Texas through the game of golf. Founded on the principles of unity, cultural pride, and community engagement, TGATX brings together Thai and Thai-American golfers of all ages and skill levels to foster meaningful relationships both on and off the course.
What began as a platform for camaraderie among golfers has evolved into a purpose-driven organization committed to giving back—supporting youth development, promoting healthy lifestyles for seniors, and creating opportunities that extend far beyond the game.
To enrich the lives of the Thai community in Texas by using golf as a platform to:
Build lifelong connections and cultural unity
Support educational opportunities for junior golfers
Promote active, healthy lifestyles for seniors
Give back through charitable initiatives and community service
To become a leading nonprofit organization that empowers future generations, honors our elders, and strengthens the Thai community through sportsmanship, philanthropy, and cultural connection.
TGATX is committed to investing in the next generation. Through initiatives such as scholarship programs, mentorship opportunities, and youth tournament participation, we aim to inspire discipline, leadership, and academic achievement among our junior members.
We honor and support our senior community by creating welcoming spaces for social connection, recreational golf, and wellness-focused activities. TGATX believes in lifelong participation in the game and the importance of maintaining strong community ties at every stage of life.
TGATX is organized into two primary regions:
North Texas – Dallas / Fort Worth
South Texas – Houston, Austin, San Antonio
Each region hosts local tournaments and events, allowing members to represent their communities while fostering friendly competition and regional pride.
Throughout the year, TGATX organizes a series of tournaments, including regional competitions and signature gatherings such as our Annual Memorial Day Tournament. These events serve not only as competitive outlets but as celebrations of unity, friendship, and shared heritage.
TGATX is proudly affiliated with the Thai Golfers Association of America, a nationally recognized organization established in 1982 that unites Thai golfers across the United States.
As a member organization, TGATX participates in the prestigious Thai Interstate Tournament—an annual Labor Day tradition that brings together more than 500 golfers from the West, Central, and East regions. Rotating host cities each year, the tournament provides a distinguished platform for regional organizations to showcase leadership, community engagement, and cultural pride on a national stage.
More than a competition, this multi-day event is a dynamic celebration of Thai heritage, sportsmanship, and connection. It brings together not only players, but also families, sponsors, and community leaders through ceremonies, networking opportunities, and cultural festivities. For many, it serves as a meaningful reunion—where lifelong friendships are strengthened and new connections are formed.
Through our affiliation with TGAA, TGATX proudly represents Team Texas while contributing to a broader national network that fosters unity, growth, and opportunity. This partnership enhances our ability to create impact locally while maintaining strong ties to a vibrant, nationwide Thai-American community—offering valuable exposure for partners and unforgettable experiences for our members.
We warmly invite all Thai and Thai-American golfers in Texas—along with friends and supporters of our mission—to become part of TGATX. Whether you are a seasoned golfer, a beginner, a junior aspiring to grow, or a senior looking to stay active and connected, TGATX offers a place for you.
Together, we are more than a golf association—we are a community dedicated to building a stronger future.
